Personal comments: A very well-crafted keep-you-guessing thriller with good performances by Michael Douglas and Sean Penn that made Fincher world-famous. It’s a textbook example of a good thriller, it managed to set a new standard in thrillers in movie history IMO. Very few films come close…one film in the same atmosphere is Collateral, which is inferior but still very good.
